Okay, part 4! This one is about [livejournal.com profile] ff_minigames and [livejournal.com profile] ff_eventsquare. If you have any problems with minigames, please discuss them with me directly; for the moment, I'm still the main mod heading minigames. Ets should be okay to contact for events.

As a note, you might notice there aren't many questions about the actual events of Event Square. That's because the events are run by volunteers, not Ets, so she's more concerned about the organization issues. If you have any comments about the actual events that happened, please comment about them below, in the comments. I am so eloquent. And this might be a little early, but if you have any ideas about an event you'd like to run, we'd love to have you on the volunteer team for the next festival, this summer.

Again, grading system for scale:

1 - CHANGE IT NOW CHANGE IT PLEASE
2 - There are some really, really big problems that need fixing like now
3-4 - There are some really big problems, but I'm not going to quit over them
5-6 - I don't really like it, but I can live with it
7-8 - There are some problems, but it's not too bad
9 - There really isn't anything wrong with it
10 - It's perfect, please don't change it!

Hey everyone, I just wanted to say that I've made a change to [livejournal.com profile] ff_minigames. The community originally was intended to be made up of games & activities that may or may not involve points and that could be posted by anyone. I have changed it to contain ONLY for-points activities run by the Minigames Mods.

I ran this by the other mods and I believe this is more in line with the conception people already have of FF Minigames, so this change will likely not be disruptive, but just so everyone knows, here are the changes that have been made:

• FF Minigames' userinfo has been updated to state that the community consists of mod-run, point-giving activities.
• Activities in FF Minigames will now be numbered, just like they are in [livejournal.com profile] ultima_arena
• I've changed the tagging system and removed unneeded tags such as "#for points"
• Posting access to [livejournal.com profile] ff_minigames has been removed for non-mods

If you would like to run a not-for-points activity, feel free to do so in [livejournal.com profile] airship_lounge instead, and if you have an idea for a point-giving activity, we encourage you to suggest it at the suggestion box (members-locked) in [livejournal.com profile] ff_minigames. Thanks for reading. :)

And while I'm here, I wanted to remind everyone there are several activities ending today. Refer to the calendar to see which ones. And be sure to vote on this week's unstamped applications. :)

Thank you to those who voted on the poll. Two announcements:

1. Fanfiction featuring original characters set in the worlds of FFXI or FFXIV will be given points.

2. We will be having a Random Encounters activity in [livejournal.com profile] ff_minigames, run by [livejournal.com profile] lightofeilia. For those worried about the activity being distracting, [livejournal.com profile] lightofeilia is planning on reducing the scope of the activity. She'll be posting an info post shortly so refer to that for more info.

Thanks!

Hey everyone, two more things we'd like community input on:

1) [livejournal.com profile] moogle_workshop has a rule that fic featuring original characters will not be given points. But the Final Fantasy MMOs, FFXI and FFXIV, were brought up, and we weren't sure if fic set in the world of those games but featuring player characters rather than the canon NPCs would fall under the original character rule or no. So basically, should FFXI/FFXIV fic set in the game worlds but only featuring original characters be given points? (Note: in either case, fic of that type can definitely be posted, but we're just trying to figure out if they'll be awarded points like other fanfic would be given.)

2) [livejournal.com profile] lightofeilia had an idea for [livejournal.com profile] ff_minigames based on Munchkin that would actually be, well, more of a community-wide mega-game that would involve fighting monsters and leveling up! We want to know if people would be interested.
