End of game announcements

As you (probably) know, the game is now over, aside from the last bit of voting going on at ultima_arena. The mods, however, have been busy planning some activities and new systems for the next game! Here are some important things that will be happening in between games:

1. The winners for Game 1 will be announced this weekend! (Only things left to tally are the tourneys, the chocobo minigame, and moogle_workshop points.)
2. The new game will be starting on Wednesday June 1st.
3. The deadline for submitting a restamping application is next Wednesday May 11th. So far, no restamping apps have been submitted, but I'm hoping at least a couple of people will try out the new application, since I'm interested in seeing how good/bad it is for stamping people. Of course, no pressure either way. :)
4. Next week we'll be having a special activity called The Golden Chocobo Awards (awesome name courtesy of the_404_error), where you'll be able to nominate and vote your fellow members for various awards, so look out for that!
5. There will be a conservative members cut within the next few months. As stated, there is NO activity requirement for ff_land, so if you tell us you want to stay a member, you WILL be kept as a member, regardless of what your participation looks like. However, I will be doing some pruning of the comm for inactive people who don't let me know they want to stay. More information on this later, but I'll be sure to give at least 6 weeks' advance notice before any member-cutting actually happens.
6. Finally, I will be spamming your flists in a bit with a bunch of posts for feedback and evaluation. This includes individual evaluations of your mods as well as general suggestions for the community as a whole. It's hugely helpful to us to get feedback on what we're doing well and what we could be doing better, as well as your thoughts on things that aren't working. So I hope to hear everyone's thoughts!

Community Feedback/Suggestions Part I

COMMUNITY FEEDBACK PART I

Here's how this is going to work:

- There's going to be two phases to this whole community feedback process. During the first phase, I'll have you fill out general polls asking you to rate various aspects of the comm and make suggestions. During the second phase, I will collect all reasonable/feasible ideas that were suggested and put them to a vote.

- This series of posts are part of the first phase. The polls here are to help give me a general idea of how the comm is going, but mostly they're here to to jog your memory on various aspects of the comm that might need improvement. You're encouraged to make suggestions in the comments as you think of them and to respond to other people's suggestions.

- Comments are unscreened. However, anonymous commenting is allowed in case you're uncomfortable voicing your opinions with your name attached.

- Not all suggestions will go on to be voted on in the second phase. Some suggestions will be rejected without vote and some suggestions will be accepted without vote, at mod discretion.

- The mods have already put some thought into community improvement. Here's a list of things we've come up with so far: ( Suggestions already on the table )

- All suggestions (here and in the comments) are open to debate, so if you want to make an argument for or against an idea, you are encouraged to do so.
