Hello everyone! You might have seen some mentions of the Garden Festival before, but here's the official announcement --

(If you go to that comm, though, it's just a sad and empty place for now, because we're not done setting up yet!)
So what's the Garden Festival? It's basically an excuse to throw a party :D Well, in all seriousness, it's actually so that non-members get a chance to see what it's like in

Even better; if you've participated and decided that hey, it's a pretty fun thing, maybe I wanna join; you'll get to keep all of the prizes that you've won (in the form of game points)!
And for our current members, the Garden Festival is also a chance for you to run activities!

If you don't have an idea but want to help out anyway, you can brainstorm on other suggestions and fill out a booth application later. If you just want to help out on someone else's booth, there's a helper application you can fill out and post as a reply to an existing booth application.

What's the reward for running booths? YOU GET GIL! Yes, shiny gil. Because of this, however, there'll be a limit to the number of booths that are gonna be held, just so that we don't overcrowd. We'll get back to you on the limit as soon as we see how many people are applying.
Schedule
Applications will be closed on July 15th. From July 16th to July 31st, all booth owners will be setting up their booths over at our events community. Then, we'll open the festival on the 1st of August.
Let's get those applications up and running!

Name: Michelle
Class: Dragoon :-)
Booth Name: Hunter's Guild!
Booth Info: Hunt dangerous marks and climb through the ranks! Not only will you get bragging rights, but there's also gil to be earned. What more can you ask for?
Proposed Layout/Setup: Basically, there will be marks posted throughout the entire festival (about 3 marks per week; 6 total). Once a mark is posted, participants will "hunt" the mark by picking a number from 1-4. Each number corresponds to a different outcome: win, flee, draw, or loose. Regardless of the outcome, the participant receives guild points (also known as clan points) along with participation points and gil. With enough clan points, the player can rank up. However, those who successfully defeat the enemy will automatically rank up and receive extra participation points and gil.
Prizes/Participation: Each participant gains 10 participation points and 100 gil, regardless of the outcome of the hunt. Those who successfully complete the hunt will receive 20 participation points and 200 gil. The clan points I mentioned earlier are separate from the participation points. It is only used in the guild to help those who weren't successful in the hunt to rank up. Each unsuccessful hunt is worth 5 clan points and each player ranks up at 10 clan points. Those who are successful in the hunt automatically rank up, so they do not get any clan points. Participants will also get a mini banner for every time they achieve a new rank. Last but not least, those who successfully reach the highest rank will receive a customized banner for their incredible luck and skill ;-)
On a scale of 1 to 5 (1 being easy and 5 being difficult), how much work do you think will go into maintaining this booth?: About 3 or 4
If you answered 4 or 5 to the above question, would you want a helper to help you out?: I wouldn't mind if I have helpers :-)
