Member Clean-up

I've gotten some inquiries about this lately, so I think now is a good time to decouple the alliances and to start the members cut process.

First, decoupling alliances:
I'm going to ask everyone to voluntarily leave their allied team comm. I could boot everyone out myself, but I can't make people un-watch a community (and I'm kind of anal so I don't like having the members list mismatch the watchers list like that). SO: click on the appropriate link below, make sure the ticky box to also remove the comm from your friendslist is CHECKED and then remove it. Simple, yes? :)

Dragoons: Please leave the mythril_swords comm at this time.
Monks: Please leave the gil_stealers comm at this time.
Soldiers: Please leave the heavenly_lances comm at this time.
Thieves: Please leave the raging_fists comm at this time.

If you have not left your allied comm by the time the second game starts, I'll boot you manually. But yes, I would prefer if everyone could help me out by leaving the comms before then.


Second, members cut:
A members cut will be taking place on Thursday June 30. If your name is on the list below and you'd like to stay in the comm, please comment here by then (just say "Here" or "I'd like to stay" or whatever). ff_land does NOT have an activity requirement, so it doesn't matter if you've participated recently or not -- if you comment saying you want to stay, you'll be kept. This is just to give us a more accurate idea of team sizes.

On the other hand, if you're reading this and you'd like to leave the community entirely, please first let me know, and then (similar to above) leave the following comms: your team comm, airship_lounge, ff_minigames, moogle_workshop, and ultima_arena. This makes it easier for me to manage the watchers list. No hard feelings! :)

** UPDATE: ** If you have not left your team comm by the time Game 2 starts AND you have not been active in ff_land for 2+ months, your name will be added to this cut list.


And as a final note, if you have accidentally left a community you didn't mean to and you need to be invited back, just let me know. :)

Edit: Oh another thing, if team mods could occasionally remind people to leave their allied comms/check this member cut list, in case people missed this post or are on hiatus, that would be much appreciated. :)

As someone who was in such a thing, it was actually super awesome the bonding that went on between the Thieves and the Monks. After a while you don't really see it as being "Another team" so much as just another part of the team if that makes any sense?

I guess what I'm trying to say is that it doesn't take long at all to loose that sense of "Us" and "Them".

D'awwww, that's really sweet, and I agree. I almost expected either you or Ari to comment on my reminders and such by the end. It was a great experience, and a good way to help each other out.

Maybe it's sweet, but I was just stating what I'd observed.

I almost did several times actually! After a while I didn't even pay attention to which team the post was from originally! I really think that blending the team comms is a great exercise in cooperation.

I do hope we blend teams this time, because those workshops you mentioned sound amazing. *_* With my writing habits, I'd need the encouragement sadly. ;;

I would probably feel a little strange with that at first too, no worries! ..Though I suppose joining in on comments for overall entries might have been kind of fun after everyone got used to that later on.
