Ack. I'm sorry if the transcribing to moogle_workshop bothered you; I thought it might be easier to read for those involved and those who weren't actively in the game but wanted to read or reference it for voting as a bystander.

Ah, I'll have to disagree, as I found them to be not too much of a bother anyhow, though I didn't participate.

That being said, perhaps there is a place we can put any future Mafia transcripts? Maybe its own user or community? Especially since it would be perfect for memories.

If we do play more mafia, if it's a bother, I'd like a different community or something for transcripts/play, because I thought it was the highlight of this phase. I really adored playing with everyone and the transcripts following.

(As thedrowned said, it leaves for good memories as well for those who are involved and thus, it doesn't bother the others who aren't involved!)

Separate RP community?

I could put transcripts there, yeah, and my main issue with putting the transcripts on my own journal (which was the original idea) was that I wanted to friends/members-lock the posts; I'm really OK with anything as long as we can keep that level of privacy.

I'm not sure about a whole community just for the RPing, as many people would have to join a new community in addition to their three or four they're already a part of, but something along those lines was kind of what I meant. Something that all the Mafia players could see and enjoy without getting in the way of anyone's f-lists who isn't interested. (I totally just contradicted myself there haha)

Yeah, but I don't really think joining another comm is that big of a deal if others feel that their flist is being cluttered. /shrug

Argh okay I don't know who best to reply to, but what if we just made a custom friends group on ff_minigames for the people participating? (And maybe anyone who says they want to watch?)

That way, although you'd still see the moogle_workshop transcripts, which you can treat as a fic you're not interested in, you don't need to see the 3(? or 4?) posts per round of the game?

Ah, you can do that? That sounds like a better idea to me, if we don't all want to have to join an extra comm and it really wouldn't bother me, because I like mafia anyways, so I'm pretty open to what would make everyone happy! ^^

I think we can do that. I know you can for personal journals, at least. I've never actually tried for comms, although, uh, one minigame idea I had for next round kinda hinges on it. XD;;;

OKAY! Tried, and it does work. You just have to access it from the friends group menu instead of the community management menu~!

I'm not sure this works. (If it does, though, consider my mind blown!) I tried testing it out right now with judge_magisters and I can't actually lock posts based on custom friends groups, so I'm guessing the custom friends group only works for filtering a comm's friends page?

Mhm, that's what I was thinking, if the posts were bothering people, maybe we could just have a branched out RP community! That way the transcripts/posts wouldn't clutter up anyone who wasn't playing, and anyone who joined would know exactly what they're in for. ^^

Honestly, now that I'm not such a grump/have gotten sleep, it wasn't too bad, I just feel like some of the posts had an obscene amount of lj cuts, which sorta made lj cuts seem redundant since it took up half a page anyways.

Eeh. I don't mean to be rude or antagonistic or anything, but. Just think of those posts in the same vein as the de-anon posts, except with Mysti doing all the work instead of all the RPers? The drabble de-anons were longer than the RP compilations, for example, especially since they each had to have a few lines of header instead of just the LJ cut, and most of the separate sections of the RP posts were longer than a drabble, at least.

If there should be another round of Mafia, and should Mysti choose to transcribe it, why not just later add the transcript to the original thread. Bear with me--since Eilia's Mafia posts were actually so small, and the comments took up no room on eotheod's f-list, then perhaps afterward an lj-cut could be inserted within the small post with the transcript. That way, only one post (instead of two, or was it three?) will show up on peoples' f-lists and will cut down on excessiveness and number and the whole flushing out the rest of the f-list. Truly, the downside is having such huge posts, as well as being a bit cumbersome, perhaps, but this might be the best way now that we know the custom friends group idea didn't work so well.

...Hmmm. That might work.

Though I think the only problem with that is that the transcript then would be in minigames comm, buried with other games and announcements, instead of being in fanworks comm, where it's somewhat more easily searchable. If I'm understanding your idea right.

Hmm I think it's fair to ask that the cuts be condensed down into one cut that just says "Mafia RP Logs -- Day X", with maybe a brief summary at the top, in list form.

Can do. Some of them might still spill over, though, the first round of Mafia logs was epic.
