Thanks for all the opinions! Most people said they didn't mind either way, and several said they would prefer the alliances, SO starting from the next point update (Feb. 20) you will see the following teams with a combined point total:

SOLDIERS & DRAGOONS

THIEVES & MONKS

BLACK MAGES & WHITE MAGES

The team comms will remain separate, but if the heads of the teams or team members want to collaborate / cheer on the other team / come up with a fun name or other way to represent the alliance, that's fine with me. :) Good luck to all the teams!
